VRS units are designed to have the identical functionality, regardless of unit size. This simplifies installation, service and operation.

Drying and Shredding

The wastes from food preparation and table scraps are slowly dehydrated in an airtight drying chamber with constant stirring. The specially designed stirring mechanism also shreds the food wastes. The drying chamber has a slight negative air pressure, which precludes the emission of steam and odors.

Deodorizing

Odors are extracted in the steam produced during the drying process. An intricate filter system cleans the steam, burns the odor components, and condenses the steam to water. The residual steam is emitted free of odors and contaminants. The condensate flows directly into the sewage system.

Operation

The operation of VRS units is deliberately designed to be user-friendly:

  • Fill – close – start.

  • The unit stops automatically after completing the program cycle.

  • Open product door – unload – done.

It is that simple.

The unit is self-cleaning.

Sensible Energy Consumption

Experience has shown that the drying time depends on the amount of moisture of the source material. Energy consumption averages a low 0.75 kWh per Liter of water to be evaporated.

Final Product
